Elections for the 2013-2014 school year are now open!  Instead of the traditional (President, Vice-President, Secretary, ...) election, we use a year dependent officer model (Freshman, Sophomore, ...), where we have at least one officer for every class and internally elect the President and Vice-President.  By doing this, we maintain a consistent set of younger officers to take over as old students graduate, keeping the number of knowledgeable officers steady every year and allowing any person who is interested to take on more responsibility as they desire via the internal elections.

This year, in addition to the class based officer roles, we've added an Outreach/Media chair.  One of the biggest ways this club has grown is by having an active online presence, from having a central website, to our Facebook group, to various online advertisements of our events.  As our club continues to grow, we recognize the importance of digital/social media and would like to take on a full position to manage our Outreach/Media presence.  The role of this position would be to help maintain our website, be in charge of Facebook (and Twitter) posts, and generally maintaining our online presence.  This position would also carry an equal vote in any decision made during the many Flying Club Officers meetings.

All positions will take an active role in planning our Flying Club events and can take on additional responsibilities as desired.  One last note, you do not have to be a pilot to run for a position. Most of the club members are not pilots and we encourage any person interested in flying to run!
